Abstract : Spontaneous nonhemadsorbing mutants of M. pneumoniae and their revertants were further characterized. Development and Improvement of an in vitro binding assay to identify the molecular basis for M. pneumoniae attachment provided additional evidence regarding the functional role of key mycoplasma proteins. The process of raising monospecific antibody against these important M. pneumoniae proteins was begun. Radioimmunoprecipitation-fluorography techniques using acute and convalescent sera detected sequential differences in humoral response.
