Abstract : In the patent the particular anisotropy of specific propagation surface orientations on bismuth germanium oxide substrate members is used to achieve minimal diffraction acoustic surface wave propagation. A preferred embodiment uses a propagation survace that substantially coincides with a plane defined by the Euler angle Lambda = 45 degrees, Gamma = 40.04 degrees, and Theta = 90 degrees. An alternative embodiment uses a propagation surface that substantially coincides with a plane defined by the Euler angles Lambda = 45 degrees, Gamma = 72.53 degrees, and Theta = 90 degrees.
