Abstract : A process of extracting water from water wet pelletized or fibrous nitrocellulose by repeatedly using a water miscible or soluble first liquid and an azeotrope forming second liquid as many times as necessary to remove a desired amount of water from the nitrocellulose is disclosed. The liquids are then recovered.
