Abstract : The patent relates to synchronous plating techniques for reducing adjacent bit disturb characteristics or interactions in a magnetic memory wire. They include the step of sinusoidally and smoothly depositing the magnetic layer on the outside surface of the wire so as to increase the effective magnetic path length between adjacent bits. The resultant wire has changing cross-sectional dimensions corresponding to the varying sinusoidal configuration of the wire.
