Abstract : The patent relates to an epicyclic transmission of the class wherein rotation of a crankshaft is transferred to an output shaft by means of discs mounted eccentrically on the crankshaft, operating stably over a wide range of operation. All of the centrifugal forces developed in the various rotating members are compensated to improve stability. One embodiment includes shoulders integral with the discs abuttingly engaging guidetracks integral with the transmission housing for transmitting centrifugal forces to the housing. Another embodiment includes pin support means for counterbalancing skewing forces which result from unsynchronized disc rotation. A third embodiment utilizes a cage comprising supportings and bars for transmitting torque to the output shaft. A fourth embodiment utilizes a planetary gearing arrangement for transferring input rotation to a plurality of driver shafts. The rotation of the driver shafts is transferred to the output shaft by a plurality of seating rings.
