Abstract : A method of separating isotopes of hydrogen which comprises subjecting a mixture of nitrogen and isotopes of hydrogen in a H2-N2 mole ratio from 1:4 to 10:1 to a glow electrical discharge from ten to the minus 3 power to ten to the plus one power eV per reactant molecules at a temperature from 50 K to 200 K and at a pressure of at least 0.3 Torr.
