Abstract : A method of winding pulse transformers with copper tape or foil and bringing out the leads directly from the winding on strip transmission line. This technique minimizes distributed inductance and leakage inductance of the leads connecting the transformer to external circuitry. It is particularly useful in high step-up ratio pulse transformers and/or pulse transformers in which the output pulse must have a very short rise time and fall time. (Author)
