Abstract : A method of fabricating nozzle blades for lasers in which the blade core is formed from an annular-shaped, rigid, chemically resistant material having a pair of opposed circular grooves machined therein is described. An open-ended exit nozzle is formed in the outer diameter of the core. The coolant channels, injection manifolds and trip manifolds are formed by electrodepositing a chemically resistant material around the core after the core has a plurality of cutouts formed therein. Final nozzle blade configuration takes place aft er the electrodepositing operation is completed. (Author)
