Abstract : A mechanism for fine tuning a laser to the optimum absorption cross section for inducing chemical reactions. After a laser line has been selected which is nearest to the desired cross section, the mechanism uses the doppler effect to allow fine tuning across the emission line profile of the laser to optimize the efficiency of the laser for producing interaction between a laser beam and optimum absorption cross section for inducing chemical reactions.
