Abstract : A decoy missile having a high moment of inertia with a corresponding reduction of the natural oscillation frequency for simulating reentry of a ballistic nose cone into the earth's atmosphere. High density ballast material in the base section such that the distance between the center of pressure and the center of gravity is equal to one-half the base diameter.
