Abstract : Aromatic and aromatic heterocyclic enyne polymers are prepared by reacting a di-B-bromovinylbenzene and a diacetylenic compound. The polymers have relatively low glass transition temperatures for fabrication, and after heat treatment exhibit high glass transition temperatures, as well as low solvent susceptibility. Also provided is a new composition of matter 1,4-bis-(cis-B-bromovinyl)benzene. (Author)
