Abstract : The fabrication of a flux source using magnetically rigid material is disclosed for deriving a magnetic field of uniform density and enhanced magnitude within an enclosed cylindrical cavity thereof. In the preferred embodiments, segments of the magnetically rigid material are configured and arranged in the flux source to direct the magnetic field in parallel with the cylindrical axis of the cavity.
