Abstract : Radiant energy intermittently emitted from a transmitter is reflected as echo pulses from a moving target being interrogated to produce Doppler signals by counting of photons of the echo pulses during time domain intervals between emission from the transmitter. Such counting of photons is limited to the time domain intervals by operational control of a laser pump through which a reference beam is generated at an energy level activating detectors irradiated by such beam to count the photons absorbed therein after capture or the photons by a receiving antenna.
