Abstract : A two dimensional interference suppression system utilizes adaptive locally optimum detection algorithms derived from kernel estimation. By using these algorithms in the process of the invention, fewer receive samples are required to obtain useful estimates of probability density functions. The new adaptive locally optimum detection algorithms lend themselves to use with simple processors permitting applications involving very high sampling rates.
