Abstract : Volume II is the first of a series of volumes which, in the form of tables and charts, give the thermodynamic and thermophysical properties of the combustion products of various composite propellants. We have shown in Volume I of this handbook/6/ that the division of composite propellants is based on the different oxidizers, since it is the oxidizer that usually determines the characteristics of the composite propellant. Four characteristic propellant groups have been noted. When we were working on the handbook, we found that it is not convenient to report the results of the calculation of each characteristic propellant group (12-15 composite propellants) in a single volume. Such a volume would be too large, too difficult to produce, and inconvenient in use. Therefore, there are two volumes for every characteristic propellant group. Thus, the properties of the combustion products of oxygen- or air-based propellants are given in Volumes II and III. The second volume of the handbook contains the thermodynamic and thermophysical properties of the combustion products of four composites propellants, with oxygen as the oxidizer. All the data reported were obtained by the authors by calculation, using the original methods and programs described in Volume I.
