Abstract : The Moessbauer effect has established itself as a powerful spectroscopic method in a surprisingly short period of time. However, even the number of well-prepared articles continues to grow from year to year, and so does the MEDI, the most useful data index for the Moessbauer. This community is based on a common spectroscopic method applicable to many fields of research. It is this fact that makes meetings of Moessbauer people so very different from narrow, one-field-oriented, specialized conferences. But just these aspects of the work, so enjoyable and interesting for the rest of us, make the tasks of Virginia and John Stevens very difficult. Fishing for Moessbauer data throughout the scientific literature and finding applications of Moessbauer spectroscopy in articles whose titles bear no indication of any connection to the Moessbauer effect involves deep dedication and enormous amounts of work. Virginia and John have proved their dedication to the Moessbauer community over a span of many years. The present Index, MEDI-75, is the eighth volume in the series.
