The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program is a three-phase program in which small businesses submit proposals in response to an annual Department of Defense Solicitation. Within the Air FOrce, It's been very successful for both the small businesses and the Air FOrce. This videotape looks at six successful small business contracts within the Crew Systems Directorate, Armstrong Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The Six contractors include the Simula Company in Phoenix, Arizona; the SPARTA Company of LaJolla, California; the General Engineering and Systems Analysis Company of Kearneysville, West Virginia; TiNi Alloy Company in Oakland, California; the Night Vision Corporation in Morton Grove, Illinois; and Silhouette Technology Corporation in Morristown, New Jersey.
