Abstract : Shock wave propagation in bubbled liquids is studied from experimental and theoretical points of view. The third-order partial differential equation derived through acoustic approximation is used to analyse subsequent behaviors of initially semi-infinite-step or square pressure pulses. The solutions are obtained in closed forms using the Laplace transformation.
