Abstract : As a result of the size and weight constraints on the application of ejectors to aerospace vehicles, there is a continuing search for improvements to meet those constraints within performance limits. The objective of the present research program is to examine the effect of forced unsteady motions on the mean flow. The specific geometries include fluidically and mechanically driven unsteady jets, airfoils, rearward facing ramps and steps, driven diffusers and the detailed identification of large scale structures in unsteady flows.
