Abstract : The objectives of this Advanced Technology Component (ATC) Program are to: (1) Demonstrate component technology to reduce development risk applicable to a 22.5 ton HLH at the lowest total HLH system cost; (2) Secure a cost data base adequate to assure that cost estimates using that data base are credible and acceptable; (3) Provide the Government with improved technology and reduced risk for program definition for large payload helicopters; and (4) Advance level of industry expertise in HLH components. The purpose of the contract is to seek maximum reduction of technical and cost risk associated with the Engineering Development o an HLH System through the design, fabrication, demonstration and test of selected critical HLH components.
