Abstract : In this paper we described how job analysis information and an hierarchical assignment algorithm were used to assign participants to positions in an organizational simulation that is being used by several corporations as a tool for analyzing managerial training needs. A unique feature was that job analysis information was used both for determining job content and in prediction. The job analysis of LGI positions determined the job content, and the information from each participant's analysis of his corporate job served as the predictor. Two key differences exist between this and traditional assessment and selection methods. (Author)
