Abstract : Laboratory exposure of the slime mold Physarum polycephalum to weak electromagnetic fields results in a lengthened mitotic cycle and depressed oxygen consumption. This research program has been designed to ascertain if the same physiological effects are obtained when Physarum polycephalum is exposed to electromagnetic fields in the vicinity of the Wisconsin Test Facility at Clam Lake, Wisconsin.
