Abstract : The ice and wind loadings in the Anaverde Summit area are such that for a given winter season there is one chance in two that a storm will develop that will exceed the capability of the line as originally constructed. If reliable operation was to continue in the area, the lines had to be modified to withstand more severe ice and wind loadings. The modifications required for each storm considered in this report are summarized below. It was concluded that the lines should be relocated to the leeward side of the Anaverde Summit area at a lower elevation.
