Abstract : Landsat images and B/W aerial photographs were used to study the geologic and structural features of the Lushan Geothermal Area. This 800 Km area is covered by the Miocene-Paleogene submetamorphosed rocks of slates, phyllites and quartzites. Some lineaments were recognized and most of hot-spring localities are found to scatter at the vicinity of the intersection of major lineaments. Two interlinked circular patterns with radial drainage pattern inside the circle and bounded by faults and major lineaments. Hot springs are mostly located at the interasections of the circular rim and major lineaments. Further studies on the circular patterns are recommended.
