Abstract : This article examines the international legal restrictions on the military use of outer space and how those restrictions have been interpreted by the two major space powers in their actual or projected utilization of space for military-related purposes. It also discusses the fragile nature of the legal regime which has been created by international treaties. These treaties will probably be suspended or terminated during time of hostilities between the parties. (Author)
