Abstract : Flaw detection in rolling element bearings has long presented a difficult challenge to accomplished machinery experts. Due in large part to the complexity of the overall vibration signature, flaw detection has focused on an examination of individual frequency components. The primary instrument for this analysis has been the real time spectrum analyzer.
