Abstract : Engine Product Performance Agreements may take many forms. One of these is warranty. The Model Engine Warranty developed by Air Force, iteratively, over a three year period is one of the many variations. It is to be tailored to fit the situation and was designed to help engine program managers formulate a warranty if one is part of their strategy. One possible outcome of considering warranty is that a warranty is not needed. This paper explores aspects of the Model Engine Warranty and its improvements over earlier warranties. Future forms of engine product performance agreements are mentioned. The concept of future commonality or standardization is discussed, with some of its perceived benefits. (Author)
