Abstract : A five-Laboratory working group was tasked with the assessment of crew system concepts being considered for the dual role fighter. The methodology employed was based on exposing rated TAC personnel to these concepts through the role playing of a highly structured mission scenario. Because many of the avionics subsystems of interest are developmental, the issue of subject experience was considered to be critical to the validity of judgements elicited in subject de-briefing.
