Abstract : The present study recommends the use of the hypnotic interview as a viable procedure and an important tool in aviation accident investigation. The hypnotic interview and the specific technique of age regression allows a person to relive or re-experience earlier events of his life while in a trance state. Information obtained in this manner is presented as invaluable in the investigation of aircraft accidents. Hypnosis is especially indicated in cases of retrograde amnesia and psychological repression.
