Abstract : For the analysis of interference effects between engine and airframe in windtunnel tests the knowledge of the characteristics of model-engines is necessary, especially if Turbine Powered Simulators (TPS) are used. The calibration tank which has been built at DFVLR Goettingen for the determination of TPS characteristics is described. Results of calibration measurements are presented for the six-component balance and for the sonic nozzles to determine the mass flow.
