Abstract : A number of projects have been carried out which adapt and apply the latest techniques in meteorological instrumentation, telecommunications, and microprocessing to Air Force liquid chemical and propellant storage and handling operations. Emphasis is on obtaining measurements critical to the atmospheric dispersion modeling process, regardless of the location to the atmospheric dispersion modeling process, regardless of the location of the potential or actual release. Recent microprocessing advances have made it possible to perform detailed calculations, which are sound in theory and commony practiced in environmental and safety planning, even in emergency response situations. The technology has led to significant capability to computer systems as well as the personal business computer.
