Abstract : The steady state flow of a nonreacting ideal gas in a cylindrical port cold flow model is simulated by the numerical solution of the ensemble-averaged Navier-Stokes equations in a nonorthogonal, body-fitted, axisymmetric coordinate system. The numerical procedure utilizes a consistently split linearized block-implicit scheme. The computed results are compared with the experimental data obtained in cylindrical port cold flow tests.
