Dredging 4 million cubic yards of shoal material annually from the sediment basin with nearby disposal areas of instead of dredging this material from navigation channel in Front River saves approximately $1 million dollars annually. The major environmental problems associated with construction and operation of the project were predicted in the design phase and and effectively mitigated. There are a few minor problems discussed earlier that we continue to monitor for compliance.
