Abstract : This article presents an initial-value technique, based on the use of certain compound matrices, for the numerical solution of linear two-point boundary-value problems involving unstable ordinary differential equations of the singular perturbation type. The authors demonstrate the effectiveness of the method via certain examples which exhibit internal as well as end-point boundary-layers.
