Abstract : Space-based surveillance systems, including primary radar (SBR) and secondary surveillance radar (SBSR) are of interest for both the Air Traffic Control and the Air Defence. This paper surveys the relevant state of the art, architectures considers surveillance system with special reference to the European scenario and closes with remarks pointing toward areas of future work.
