Abstract : Within the last 20 years, rock anchors have been used to repair fractures and to improve stability of 28 structures within the Ohio River Division. Twenty-two of these applications were for the purpose of assuring stability of both new and existing structures. A tabular summary of these 22 stability applications is presented in Table 1. The stability criteria used for the design of the rock anchors are shown.
