Abstract : Reynolds stress, k-epsilon, and Low Re models for the modelling of inhomogeneous flows are considered. They are shown to provide satisfactory predictions for engineering flows. Near wall and buoyancy effects are also included. Results of Large Eddy Simulations are used as guidance to the standard one point closures, especially for data which cannot be obtained by experiment.
