Abstract : This paper highlights the improvements made over the last two decades in the methods used to gather, assimilate and process flight test data. It discusses the development cost reductions that can be realized from the use of real time data systems and real time analysis software and relates the use of today's powerful computing capabilities to teh V-22 program requirements. The paper briefly discusses the increased emphasis on the role of simulation in real time analysis procedures. (SDW)
