Abstract : The aim of this work is to detail all the steps, that one has to perform to enable efficient Radar Cross Section calculation for objects with a complex and general shape. Only cavities are supposed to be non existent at this state of the work. Before the actual Radar Cross Section calculations, preliminary treatments like systematic modeling, Hidden Faces removal, and automatic recognition of reflection and diffraction centres are realised. After the creation of the object's geometry, and its adaptation to the direction of the observatory, we use Physical Optics (PO) to determine the backscattered field, and Geometrical Theory of Diffraction (GTD) to evaluate the diffracted fields. Only monostatic scattering (i.e backscattering) will be considered.
