Abstract : A new laser method is reported for manufacturing of microoptical components including high-aperture microlenses and microobjectives which can be used in fiber-optic communication links, in integrated optic devices, in the laser technique and technology, as well as in scanning optics. The physical model of the local laser thermoconsolidation process is described. The main types of the microoptical elements and their specific parameters are presented.
