Abstract : Digital single-chip signal processors (DSP) are powerful devices to implement closed-loop controllers for highly dynamic mechanisms. Code production is however not that easy, particularly with DSP offering only fixed-point arithmetic. This paper describes key issues and a toolset which builds on automatic code generation to complement existing control design tools so as to close the gap between design and implementation or experiment.
