Abstract : An analysis of key tables in the Atlas of types tables for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator showed strong, unexpected age group effects, particularly for the JP dimension. These effects are not predicted by--and may contradict certain aspects of-traditional - type theory. These findings prompted a consequent recalculation of MBTI norms. Proportions of extroverts and sensors were found to be considerably lower than previously reported, while the proportion of judgers was somewhat higher.
