Abstract : Peeling and Gibbs sampling are two computational tools for genetic pedigree analysis. While both are powerful methods, each has its limitations. There are problems where the application of either one technique alone will not lead to satisfactory results. For some of these problems, we propose methods which combine peeling and Gibbs sampling. The key idea is to take full advantage of the strengths of each method and eliminate the weaknesses. Pedigree analysis, Peeling, Gibbs sampling, Monte Carlo, Markov chain, Likelihoods, Lod core, Bayesian inference.
