Abstract : A three-dimensional curvilinear finite-volume CFD code has been applied to aid understanding of the mechanisms leading to observed baseplate temperature patterns on a modern vaporiser combustion chamber. This code calculates recirculating, turbulent, combusting flows with a k-Epsilon turbulence model and a conserved scalar / local chemical equilibrium combustion model.
