Abstract : Optical fibre LDA technique used to investigate the boundary-layer behavior on oscillating models, is a powerful tool to characterize phenomena such as transition, separation and reattachment in unsteady flows. The paper focused on measurements of boundary-layer profiles which clearly exhibit the efficiency of this LDA technique using embedded optical fibers. The following sections present typical data sets illustrating some aspects of the unsteady boundary-layer behavior including transition and separation phenomena. (Author)
